Grand C-Max Titanium X 2016 Keyless Receiver Module Location

Featured Replies

Hi, please could somebody let me know where the keyless receiver module location is on a Grand C-Max Titanium X 2016.

Remote locking has stopped working after coming up with the key battery low signal. Through a few searches, seems to be the receiver has failed. Plenty of vids to say it's an easy fix but receivers seem to be in many different locations based on the model, so hoping somebody can point me in the right direction before taking up too much panels and trim.

Also, if there's any recomendations for where to buy a replacement module other than the usual places, please pass them on too. Thanks.

Built into BCM on this model

Could just be because you have fitted inferior batteries

Energizer only

Cheers, I'll give the batteries a try but it's also not working on the spare key (haven't used it for a long time either, so worth replacing them too).

Yes, always replace both batteries at the same time

Only buy Energizer and only from a reputable retailer, there are lots of fakes about

Unfortunately the new batteries didn't work. I've seen some people mention about resequencing the key after changing batteries, anybody know how to do this is a 2016 Grand CMax? Most solutions I've seen need the key to be pit into the ignition but this model doesn't have that.

I recently observe that my 2016 Ford Grand CMax two keyless remotes stopped opening and closing the doors of the car. The batteries are quite alright . Upon professional advice I took it to Ford place yesterday for comprehensive mechanical diagnosis. Consequently , I was informed that the receiver located in the car roof has become damp due to condensation so it has to be replaced. It's will take about 3 days to open the roof , dry it and replace (something close to the process I described please) and a lot of money too.

So in case you are experiencing this because I have read some people talk about similar issues , you may want to look at your receiver in the roof region that is if you use 2016 model titanium.
