Just registered -Does anyone want a 55 Van?

Featured Replies

I'm new to this forum, but I'm a regular on forums (BMW and PistonHeads) that are not Ford specific.

I've only come on here because my van was flooded in Derbyshire and I would rather that it went to a good home than I scrap it.

The van was flooded and I have loads of spares for it

I've checked the oil, and it is about 10mm above the max, so my intention is to drain the sump, put some new oil in it, and give it ago.

The starter would have been under water, but I hope it will be ok.

The inside is soaked and the carpets would need to be removed to get all the water out.  The seats are soaked, but I think that is capilliary action, as the water  reached the bottom of the seats.

The van was used as a kennel for my son's dog while he was at work and the seats have been chewed, and there will be some mouldy dog biscuits for any new owner to find.

Right hand door and front right wing are dented from a previous incident.

MOT history is online, and it has an MOT until October, but it is SORN'd.  It is insured, but it wouldn't be worth making a claim.

If anyone is interested, please add a post.
