When I start the vehicle, the temperature display changes from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I also get a 'hill start assist is not available' warning. I have noticed that the whole display goes black after the engine has started. Its like all power has been shut off for 2 or 3 seconds. Only started happening in December 23. Video clip below.

Looks like the battery voltage is dropping very low when the starter motor is taking all the power.  Chances are you probably need a new battery.  The cold weather has just exacerbated the issue.

I agree with previous comments  or maybe a bad battery connection. 

Thanks for the reply. New battery was fitted in January 2023 so it is 12 months old. It was fitted by the AA after I called them due to the Edge failing to start. I think you are right though, maybe the connection needs looking at.

Just over a year ago I had to get the "new" battery on my daughters horsebox replaced. It was a Yuasa and only 14 months old, fortunately it was replaced FOC. as it was still covered by the guarantee.
