Ford Mondeo MK4 1.6 TDCi performance issue under 5C

Featured Replies

Hello Folks,

I own a 2011 Ford Mondeo MK4 1.6 TDCi Econetic car, and I have been experiencing performance issues with it under 5 Celsius. What it does is that it randomly loses its performance if the weather goes under 5C. Sometimes it doesn't do that, but most of the times yes. No issue with it above 5C.

If I stop the car, and then restart the engine it works for a while. To me it feels like the turbo stops working. I took it to some car mechanics already, but no one was able to surely identify what's wrong. No error message in the computer.

Has anybody here experiences the same? If yes, can you please provide any recommendation?

Thanks, Balazs
