Water leaking into my boot on the passenger side

Featured Replies

As the title says, theres water leaking into my boot on the passenger side and goes along the full passenger side, the carpet is as pulled back as it can get without removing seatbelts and seats, and both the front and rear footwells have water in them, me and my grandpa think that water is leaking into the boot, going in the rear pillar trim, through the boot trim and going along the full passenger side. We saw a video on youtube showing it, the guy had the same issue on the full car and he also said it could be worn door membranes. Has anyone else had an issue like this and how easy and cheap is it to remedy? Hoping this is just a driveway job but my grandpa wants to take it to a garage, what do you all think?

Usually the rubber boots at the top of the pillars you can see when the tailgate is open, they usually fail where the wiring boot goes into the body, so probably no choice to take it out, clean all the crap out and re seal usually with RTV sealer. Might get a bit messy but does the job.

Good of you to reply Richard, but unfortunately Cameron drowned over 4 months ago. The leak was bigger than he thought 🤣
