Having hit the age of 35 I decided I has enough of Focus STs and bought a Mondeo! I’ve always liked the look of them, and love how comfortable they are and the fact you seem to get more for money compared to a Focus. I just have a couple of questions to any experts out there when it comes to face lifts, extras etc

 

I bought a 15 plate Titanium, and I noticed there are 2 different types of dash board. Mine has the larger computer type screen which incorporates the rev counter, where as others have the smaller centre screen. Is this an upgrade? Is there a reason different models have different dash screens? Secondly the front, I noticed mine has round fog lights, others meanwhile have more rectangle fog lights with day running lights attached. Meanwhile my day running lights are basically the yellow side lights in the main unit. Was this a slight facelift they did after the 15 plate?

 

I want to update mine and make it look a little more modern, my thoughts are replacing the headlights with white instead of the standard offwhite. It seems a faff changing the bulbs though! Any other ideas or tips?

The large digital dash display was standard on higher trim models. 

Your lighting setup is a bit unusual for a Titanium, which at the time was a higher spec trim. Normally that setup was for the base model, but perhaps because yours is an early Mk5 it's different. Most other specs had rectangular fog lamps, DRLs in the fog lamp surround and halogen headlights. The Vignale had adaptive LED headlights with the DRLs built into the main unit, and rectangular fog lamps. 

As an option you could also get the adaptive LED headlights on other trim levels, in which case the DRLs were built into the main light unit, and they had round fog lamps.
