door seal

Featured Replies

Hey guys

i was wondering if any of you have had this problem or that can help me.  i have a mk3 Mondeo estate and my rear passenger door seems to have a leak but can see how its getting in but it just pools at the bottom then runs to carpet. do i need to replace the seal and if so does anyone know where to get one or the part number. as i have looked on eBay but not sure if its a direct fit or will cause leaking after fitting. any help will be greatly appreciated as I'm not keen on wet carpet smell after rain. plus doesn't leak when you go through a car wash just when it rains :s..

Probably should be another seal attached to door?

Check other doors to see if it's missing

That may be coming in through the door itself.  If you remove the door card I reckon the waterproof membrane behind it has been cut to replace a window motor then not resealed properly.

Also, Check that the drain holes in the bottom of the door aren't blocked

Please tell us that it doesn't have your and your wife's names on it!

Also... surprised the fluffy dice didn't trigger a failure, obstructing the driver's view

"Dave ❤️ Sharon"

Other names might be available, but I don't think so 🤣

At least it's a DIY fix!
