TomsFocus
I'm not sure they made a 1.6 diesel Kuga in 2014? If they did, it'll be 8 valve & single cam so belt only, no chain.
frund
We also have a 2008 1.6 tdci totally reliable 70 k belt only on this one changed due to age.

Same question Belt only ? thanks Ah, that's better. Yes, 8v, single cam engine, so no chain. Just cambelt and waterpump. And while it's removed, you may as well change the auxiliary belt too. 10 minutes ago, frund said: We also have a 2008 1.6 tdci totally reliable 70 k belt only on this one changed due to age. For reference, a 2008 1.6 TDCI will be the old twin cam 16v engine. That one does have a chain between the cams like the 2.0.

frund
I should have added. The cambelt was changed on our 2008 Fiesta by Tremont road garage Llandrindod Wells, sadly now a tyre and battery place due to Ford dealership costings too high and age of owner. I had virus at this time (2 years total) Wife took it in and stayed with daughter at Llandrindod. No rattling chain and only averages 4K per year.
