Ford KA BCM removal

Featured Replies

Hi, I need to replace the BCM in my 2012 KA, I had a quick look today and it is mounted in a metal cage/case. It looks as though the only way to get it out is to drill the rivets out to allow removal of front metal plate?

This  feels a little extreme? Has anyone else got another way of doing it please?

Yes that is how it gets removed on these models.

If this is for the Ford KA mk2 based on the Fiat 500. What looks like rivets are actually bolts with no head. Vice grip / mole grips and unscrew them. They will come off quite easily.
