Terry Mallett
I have a MK3 Kuga ST-LINE X FIRST EDITION on a 20 plate. I had a collision with another vehicle where my wing mirror glass was smashed, I can order a replacement on e-bay but I'm assuming that I will also need to replace the overtaking proximity sensor, does anybody know the part number and the correct terminology for this part.? TomsFocus
The overtaking function is called BLIS. The sensor for that is in the rear bumper so won't be damaged. There is just a small LED light on the back of the glass. So you have two options. Either buy genuine mirror glass that comes with the LED fitted. Or buy aftermarket adhesive glass that sticks over your broken mirror, allowing the LED light to shine through.
