Mk4 Mondeo Titanium X issues

Hello. Looking to see if these issues are common  and maybe someone will have some advice. This is a 2.0lt Duratech engine.

1) Lambda sensor. Code returned is P0420-00. Catalyst Efficiency below threshold (Bank 1). Depending where you look this comes back as sensor 1 or 2. Which is pre-cat and which is post-cat?

2) Fuel consumption. It seems very poor at around 34 average and just about 36 only a long run at 65mph. It also appears to be better at higher speeds. If I drive at a constant 70 the consumption is better than at a constant 55. The engine is in good order.

3) A code comes up under Steering Sensor right and left, but it doesn't seem to affect the car in any way.

4) The DAB radio is abysmal! It loses signal very quickly. You can find an endless list of stations, but half the time it's not getting enough signal to hold onto the station. Is there a cure for this?

Surprisingly enough, just about everything works. Auto wipers OK, swivel headlight all OK, cruise control occasionally cuts out but 99.5% ok. Absolutely hate the black rear side windows! Reversing at night is no fun and the 18" wheels with low profiles don't improve the ride, but, given its done 155k it's pretty. Any help, advice or comments very welcome.

Thank you
