Hi

I just bought a Mondeo mk4, but it has misfires, bad idle and tough to start.

OBD showed me only misfires on cylinder 2.. Tried another OBD, and it showed me error codes for primary coil a,b and c.

I noticed that the camshaft position sensor isn't plugged in, which I suspect the cause of the issue. But I can't find any wire or plugs for it?

Is there someone who might have a diagram specific for that component, or which way to "trace back" looking for it. Seems odd that even the connector nor wire is anywhere to be found.

I'll attach a picture, if anyone should notice something "off" that I haven't spotted..

    Sounds like you have an early engine in a later vehicle.  I'm sure Early mondeo 2.0 had cam position sensor , but later ones didn't.

    Uff.. Don't know if the engine has been swapped, previous owner didn't mention.. Is there a way for me to check if it has indeed been changed to an earlier version?
    The car is from 2007
