I have a 2014 mondeo business edition with sat nav. I need to change my battery but I don't have the code radio.

I know I can get the code if I have the serial number.

From what I've read, the serial numbers will start with either a M or a V and be followed by six numbers.

I've taken the unit out and can't find any numbers that match that pattern on the unit, does anyone know where the serial number should be on that unit?

or does that unit have a different style serial number?

They do have a different style serial number but it is just a longer number, possibly like 12 or 14 digits. Normally part way in the long number you will find a M or V, that is the start of the 6 digits you need.

It turns out it's a 17 digit serial number beginning with C7, I got the code using this number and the code works fine. Happy days.
