Radio Ariel location??

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 Mondeo business edition, the fm radio is rubbish it’s within the centre console screen.

I listen to commercial radio and it can’t get Greatest hits radio? But can get BBC radio!

Wheres the Ariel? it’s not external?

I’ve  looked in the manual but it’s not listed?

Is there an upgrade or replacement?

TIA.

Usually in the rear windscreen or a fixed rear side window if it’s not on the roof.

It uses the heated rear window elements as the aerial.

If you are having problems then it is probably the aerial amplifier and isolator unit. Remove the plastic trim at the top edge of the tailgate to find it, or them. Often there are two units one for AM and one for FM/DAB

See this thread for full details:

Check the connection to the screen is good and check the connection to the body is good too.

But BBC's signal is much stronger than local Radio
