Ford Street Ka difficult to start

I’ve a Street Ka 2005 44,000 miles . Never had problems until now.

Start up has become difficult very hesitant as if mixture was too lean ( hunting?)

Has been checked professionally all settings are ok . Engine management light on and comes on again after  reset Have to reV engine for a   Few minutes as will stall if I engage a gear—-..    difficult as engine wants  to stall !
when warmed up after 2-3 mins revving at 3000 rpm everything runs perfectly.

Local Garage specialists mystified as all setting perfect

Any ideas ?

What fault code is being triggered when the EML is on?

If mixture is too lean, that's often caused by a vacuum leak from a split vac pipe or PCV pipe around the inlet.

Thanks for your advice Tom . I’ll try a Ford Specialist with your advice re a vacuum leak .. The local garage highly regarded and rated , had the Ka for several days and admitted themselves beaten ! The difficulty was that as soon as the engine warmed up it performed faultlessly and you had to wait 3/4 hours before another attempt to diagnose could be made !
