Bluetooth module

Featured Replies

Hello,

So I have a 2010 Mondeo 2.2 titanium x. I’ve had a look and taken a photo of my current Bluetooth module. It’s the 8M5T-19G488. From what I understand this version is the 2nd generation and as it states on the module it only the ability for me to use my phone for calls and voice commands. I want to use Bluetooth for music and the aux cable just keep disconnecting and it’s doing my head in at this point. Would it be possible to do a quick swap the the 3rd generation Bluetooth module part number 8M5T-19C112?  Please see link for photo of the current Bluetooth module. https://ibb.co/yRMbC1V

When I press the Aux/cd button on my Sony stereo it only has the option for Cd or aux. I’ve seen a few online that have cd/aux/bluetooth and iPod options I think. The stereo I have has dab included as well so I was surprised it couldn’t connect to my phone for music.
