Hi all newbie owner advice needed please?

Featured Replies

So i am in the process of buying a 2017 2.0 sport with auto box. I am trying to do my research and I've watched all sorts of youtube videos for answers.

What I am trying to understand is if the dpf regenerates whilst on the journey..is there a warning light or message that would come on?

or any more issues re the dpf that i should be aware of?

thanks in advance

There is no dash warning during a DPF regen.

The engine sounds a bit different, the exhaust smells a bit worse, and the cooling fan runs at high speed.  If you switch the engine off mid regen, the fan will continue to run on afterwards, that's the best sign that a regen was in progress.

It can fail a few regens before becoming an issue.  That's the point when a warning gets triggered.
