Mondeo Mk4 rear spring part number - trying to keep OEM

Featured Replies

Hey guys

I have a 2009 plate Mk4 Mondeo 1.8TDCi that I am going through as its got a bit rusty and crusty, going through the rear at the moment ad have come up against an issue with parts for the rear springs.

As far as I know car was on original springs.

Ordered new springs for Mk4 from ford via parts store on eBay ( part number 1509963) and they are completely different in height and the colour codes are different.

I have come across this list of codes for part numbers for different codes of rear springs but it does not include a single orange marker...

Can anyone help?

Do you have self levelling suspension or just standard?

1509950 doesn't have any colour listed at all, so I'm wondering if it's those?  Otherwise it may have been a mistake during production, and could be any of the orange ones missing a second marker.

Have you tried using your VIN in Ford - Catcar.info to see if it thins down the list of spring options?
