Fuel sender location required please.

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2016 2.0 diesel hatchback. The fuel gauge has suddenly decided to warn of zero fuel. My first course of action is to check out the sender unit but I can't find it.

Is this a tank removal job?

Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Simple answer is Yes.

Thanks for that unofix, luckily for the moment at least the fuel guage has come back on stream, so I am hoping that it was just a computer glitch. I will no doubt soon find out!

Thanks again unofix. I have updated my profile now. I can see that the sender seems to be a separate part from the pump but it is still located in a position that makes removal of the tank essential to get at it. An access panel in the floor would have been useful.

As said, the issue has for the moment self corrected but if it reoccurs I now know where to look. Cheers.
