Should I replace cat converter

Featured Replies

Hi own a 2016 Grand C- max . Had to have the clutch replaced 6 months ago then a month later the wet belt went.  Now the engine light has come on and the catalytic converter is apparently on its way out. Halfords were really helpful and cleared the fault using some Cat cleaner. Absolutely love my car but family think I should now get rid. But surely if I've already had two major items replaced it would be worth replacing the converter? and if so when?

Edit:

Has been looked after has full service history and has done 74118 miles.

Thanks

Yes, I'd agree with you.  After replacing the clutch and wetbelts, you're in too deep to cut your losses now.  It would be worth replacing the cat in the hope of keeping it for another 3+ years to get some value back out of it.
