Battery disconnect.

Hi. I want to disconnect the battery in my ford edge. 

Usually I'd remove the negative. But it's hard to access. 

Does it really matter if I remove just the positive? 

 

I only want to disconnect some things under the seat to see why the heated seat isn't working.

    Makes no difference to the car, BUT be very careful that you do not allow your spanner to touch the metal bodywork while it is in contact with the positive terminal.
