Spotify via Carplay

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I have recently purchased my second Kuga, 2022 model this time. Since having it, when ever my phone (brand new iPhone) is connected via CarPlay and I’m using Spotify. There is a slight stutter of skip that is intermittent, obviously this can get quite annoying on long distances. In my last Kuga 2017 model, it never happened once.

has anybody come across this issues before or have a fix for it?

Many thanks. 👍

Keep iPhone cache clear by restarting phone regularly.

Cable MUST be genuine iPhone cable

mmmmm............

are you thinking that Ford just fitted them to fill the holes in the armrest ? Surely they could have just used some rubber bungs 😉

I think he meant do they connect to Sync, or are they just for charging?  I don't know the answer though.

That’s just Sync 3.4 unfortunately.

Yes, this has been done. Yet still the same issue. I have tried this with 3 other iphone devices. Still the same outcome.

Sorry. I meant to utilise the carplay feature. I have since tried this and it doesn't.

Your joking. No fix for this?

Probably best to complain, whilst you're still in warranty

I've been down this exact road with Ford this year, and over the course of several months of testing and diagnostics, emails and contact with Android Auto devs. Hopefully this will save you some time!

I've been advised that the issue cannot be resolved by clearing the cache on your phone and a different/better cable won't resolve it either.  The problem I'm told, is in to the way Sync 3 interacts/speaks with both Car Play and Android Auto.

Apparently Iit's something we have no choice but to grin and bear for now.

It could be your internet connection?

Try downloading a track and playing that, see if it still does it.

Hi there. I have not tried downloading multiple albums and songs. Yet, the issue still is happening.

Well that's great then! LOL

Try it, just download your favourite album and play that, see if it still does it
