Replace damaged injector fuel line section with stock pipe?

Featured Replies

A flexible section of the fuel supply pipe of my Mondeo Mk4 is damaged. Rather than go to the expense and difficulty of replacing the whole (very long) pipe, would it be possible to just replace the ~400mm section of the damaged flexible hose with some stock fuel hose and jubilee clips? I'm wondering whether the existing pipe I/D is maybe a non-stock size or high pressure that would prevent this? Many thanks for any help.

I can confirm it is not high pressure, and should be fine to replace with aftermarket fuel grade hose.  But I do not know the ID I'm afraid.
