Buzzing noise from solenoid

Hi, after parking up i have noticed last couple times a buzzing noise from the engine so this evening was able to narrow it down to what I believe is the boost solenoid (the red thing) but am unsure why it would be doing this? Guessing it is is kaput, I have read that the internal sponge can be cleaned but not 100% sure this will fix this. If anyone has advice I would really appreciate it.
