Afternoon all, I have a Ford mondeo 2009 titanium x. Since purchasing the car I’ve noticed the instrument cluster has started acting erratically with gauges jumping up/down an engine malfunction warning message coming on, along with other warning lights. I’ve taken it to an auto electrician who has re-flowed the unit(twice) to no avail. I have even tried another second hand cluster which brings up the same issue warnings. I have taken it to a mechanic who says the cluster isn’t communicating with the rest of the vehicle either. He he car starts/ runs perfect, however I am unable to get in sometimes with the fob not working so I have to manually unlock the car setting off the alarm. I’ve noticed sometimes the electric windows also sometimes work/don’t work. I’m really struggling to know what’s happening with the car and feel whoever I take it to is guessing the cluster but I’m wanting to rule out other things first. It is likely that the Body Control Module (BCM) is starting to fail.
