Hi all,

Don't worry; unlike some new members, I've read the pinned post about not asking questions here.

I'm just here to say that I've recently bought myself a used Focus Mk3. As it's a 2014 model, it is (or so I believe) one of the last of the Mk3s, the look of, I in fact prefer over the 3.5 (the so-called "Facelift", right?).

It's nothing too exciting: just a 1Ltr, Titanium Navigator Turbo, but I'm getting used to it, having been driving a 170BHP Diesel saloon, for the past 4 years; my first and last diesel powered car. Before that, I've always had petroleum powered cars, and now I'm getting used to my Focus, I'm finding that it's a lot of fun.

I've started on some mods, the first being the DRLs, which have the built-in turn signals, and I've some slash cut, lower side stripe graphics, on order, which I think look real nice.

I'll maybe update my profile picture, once I have those affixed (the attached image of the side stripes, is for illustration only).

Hi Welcome,

I hope the vehicle has had the wet belts changed?

Thank you.

Yes, it's been done, thanks. I did quite a bit of research, before parting with my hard-earned cash, and the Timing Belt was front and center, on the list of things to check on. It's also had all four weather seals (for the Doors) replaced, as well as few other things, that one would expect of a 10 Y.O car. There was a little water ingress to the Wheel Well, and I understand why that could be, but having now driven the car in the wet, it's dry in there, so I don't see this as a major issue; maybe the winter months will prove otherwise, and I'll have me a 'Spring time project'.
