Fiestas First Service

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just had my fiesta back from it's first service (1.6L Duratorq-TDCI (90PS) - DV6) and as usual i was having a quick check over the car and found that the oil is very black, which to me doesn't seem right (i know that it will soot up quickly bit in less than 5 miles?)

So my question is, have they changed the oil and filter, can anyone tell me where the oil filter is as for the life of me i can't see it?

Hi Ukchris

filter should be front or rear of engine(if front you should be able to see itbetween engine & radiator)

if rear you will probablyhave to get under the car to see it.

no the oil should not be black after such a short distance.

sorry cannot be much help i am sure someone can help more though.

oil filter is on the right hand side of the engine, accessible from under the bonnet and is in a black housing. its about half way down on the front of the right hand side, please be very careful if you are going to try removing it as the plastic cap can break quite easily
