No indicators climate control or electric windows.

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Kuga 2.0 Titanium 2011 model which had the issue with limp mode and associated dash cluster soldered joints. These have been repaired and solved the associated limp mode issue. Since then I have changed the battery and now experiencing issues with the dash warning lights.

1 No indicators tick tocking on dash. Physical indicators working fine.

2. Electric windows stopped working

3. no power to climate control unit.

4. No power to front electric window

5. hand brake light stuck on

6. red ice symbol stuck on

7. airbag light stuck on

8. seatbelt light stuck on.

The car starts a drives ok just the above issues. All the things listed above were working fine the other day before the cluster replacement.
The following DTC codes are shown on the stick menu

D960

A627

E197

Any ideas greatly appreciated

Just to confirm, there were no problems with the repaired cluster.  These faults only happened after the battery was changed?

It sounds like the GEM has lost some major inputs.  I'd be checking the large fuses under the bonnet.  Sounds like one of those could've been blown when the battery was reconnected.

Check fuses 100, 107, 114, passenger compartment fusebox

Check fuses 3, 4, engine bay fusebox

If all are good, then disconnect the negative lead from the battery. leave it off for 20 minutes before reconnecting and wait 5 minutes before turning the ignition on. This will allow all modules to fully reboot.

It’s hard to say for sure. I had a doner battery on with the cluster issues then repaired the solder joints which cleared the limp mode problem but introduced the new problem as described . Three etc fault codes showing. Ordered a reader to try and clear to see if that had any effect

Thank you for the detailed reply. Did a fuse check and all showing healthy unfortunately. I see others have had exactly the same symptoms however no solution posted. Ordered a code reader to clear the three DTC codes to make sure they are not causing the issue. I read that these symptoms are related to non essential things which may be inhibited in certain conditions?

Since the fuses are all OK, disconnect the battery 👍

Solved!! The cluster solderd joint repair had not properly repaired the connection on one pin. Re soldered and all good 👍
