MK3 Rear Passenger door not unlocking with remote locking

Featured Replies

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can advise on what might be the issue.

As title suggests my rear passenger door doesn't unlock from remote locking, or if all doors are locked from anti hijack and the drivers door is unlocked from the inside. The passenger rear door has to be opened from the inside. It does however lock from the remote locking?

I've had to swap the speakers out so when the door was stripped I coated all round the lock in WD40 and the remote locking/unlocking worked for a period of time and then stopped.

I'm thinking the motor/actuator is running dry and seizing based on this. But reluctant to strip it without checking if anyone has any ideas first.

Any advise welcome.

Cheers,

Chris

Not sure you CAN strip it down, the main lock in the driver's door is impossible to open up (and piece  together again)
