Just a quick question. what degrees do they operate at to send a signal to regen? Why I ask this  my 2018 Vignale started to ask to regen  as the exhaust particular filter needs cleaning. my OBD II meter is only reading 120 degrees. I have not lost power, acceleration or a drop in fuel consumption. I cannot see any excessive soot around the tailpipe either  I cannot get my car into the garage till this Thursday. Therefore that's why it may be a sensor fault? Thanks for your help on this query Scooby.

They don't send a signal to initiate Regeneration, the PCM does that when it senses that the DPF is getting clogged up.

During normal running I would expect the Exhaust Temperature to be in the mid 200's to mid 300's depending on how hard the car is driven and whether it is fully warm. If your reading the temperature as 120 on a warm Engine then maybe your Code Reader is giving false information or the Sensor is faulty.
