My 08 Mondeo 1.8tdci drives fine, but then suddenly it starts stuttering as though it’s fuel starvation, then cuts out. It then takes a lot of struggling to get it going again. Any idea what to look at? Have already checked the pick up in the tank. No fouling. Working as it should

    Other than possibly drawing air into the fuel system somewhere, I couldn't comment

    Almost certainly air getting in somewhere.  Fuel filter is a good place to start.

    As the fuel is not pressurised from the tank, you won't see any leaking out, but air will be sucked in, so it's very difficult to spot the leak.
