Mondeo 2011. Exactly how do I reset the oil change log

Featured Replies

As the title says. How do I do this exactly. I tried switching on the car (no clutch => car on but engine not running), press the brake and accelerator. Something seems to happen but it doesn’t go all the way. I switch car off and then on again but the change oil remains.

Just found this on Fordwiki..

Indicator Reset

1. Close all doors.

2. Turn the ignition key to position II.

3. Simultaneously press the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal and hold for a minimum of 15 seconds.

4. The oil change reminder indicator will turn off. This confirms that the reset procedure has been correctly completed.

Yes that is correct. My 2011 shows a message “oil change reset in progress” (or something like that) and an “OK” underneath. 15 sec was not enough, more like 30, but then ther was a message that it was complete and a new OK. Turn car off and then on again.
