Tapping in rear (boot area)

hi guys i have a tapping noise in the rear end of my mondeo.it is not a mechanical  issue.it allmost sounds like a coin bouncing about under the trim somewhere.but i have searched for weeks to see what is actually the cause of it.i have drove with rear seats folded flat ,empty boot spare wheel and jack removed.and still tap taptap tap.the car is totally empty..any suggestions guys many thanks

    Do the tail lights have separate fixings on these?  I know on some models the nuts can be dropped into the chassis when removing.

    Havnt done anywork on the lights good shout though.keep them coming im desperate to get rid of the total pain in the backside noise
