Hi all

Have the “Tyre Sensor not detected Check Handbook” issue on my 64 plate focus.

Am going to isolate which one it is using FORSCAN next week.

But my question is……where exactly are the sensors physically located?

Seen lots of threads about this issue but can’t find the specifics of where they actually are on the tyres

Screwed to the bottom of the valve.  Not a DIY job, need a tyre machine to replace the sensors.

Yep and the tyre fitter has got to be competent too, Son at one garage had 4 new tyres fitted, as he drove home his dash was showing an error, so reset it and it came back on, he then took the car back to look, tyre fitter had smashed two of the sensors, at first the garage wasn't going to foot the bill as they said there's no proof they'd broken the sensors, clearly could be seen the broken parts was freshly done.

The battery (not replaceable) inside of the tyre sensor typically lasts between 7 and 10 years. If your 2014 car is still on it's original sensors then you can expect all 4 to fail in the next 12 months.

so these working on any 2012 or later car is an MOT feature

in 2016 law was tightened with the aim to ban the useless ABS sensor fake it set up - but lobbying by VW saw it overturned 

real TPMS can ALL show the tyre temps too - and we ought to get warnings for overheating not just pressure display - but they never thought of that - coz it would be sensible....

many BMW vehicles can enable the hidden Temp display in the clusters

Please can someone advise on the model and part number for replacement tyre sensors for a 2014 Focus?  Genuine or decent replicas welcome!

Assume its four of the same thing?  Or are the front and rear different models?

As an aside, i used FORScan to try and narrow down which one was at fault but only got this read out - it doesnt seem to point towards a specific sensor
