Engine saying fuel pressure low

Featured Replies

Hi all. Was on before about this.had everything changed on the fuel line from tank to rail . Was goin OK for few months and it has started again cutting out while drivin. It has completely turned me off these cars. It's goin on nearly a year now and has cost me nearly 5000 euro between parts and labour. Has anyone had this issue repeat on them .

Do you always use the same diesel filling station?  If the whole system was cleaned out properly then I wouldn't expect it to reappear unless it's been filled with contaminated diesel.

Hi Tom.  It was goin grand for few months everything was flushed from tank to rail . Mind boggling now. I get disel in work and the rest of lads never have an issue

Don't think there's anything I can suggest unfortunately.  Would have to go through the same diagnosis as before.  Check whether the actual pressure is low or whether it's just a sensor/wiring fault.  And if it is genuinely low, first thing to try would be a new filter.

I don't know the diesel system used on your model, but on a Delphi system  I'd advise do an injector leak off test first of all, then if nothing obvious, ie, no excessive leakoff, then have the injectors tested out of the engine at a fuel injection services place NOT a garage, for overfuelling.
