Yellow light bulb on the dashboard

Featured Replies

Hi

A yellow lightbulb warning light has come up on my dashboard.  A rear brake light is not working.

I replaced the bulb.  Tried another bulb.  Tried the bulb that worked on the other side.  Still not working.

Checked the fuse - still not working.

Any suggestions what else it could be?

Might just be the bulb not contacting properly check if you are getting 12 v to the lamp holder.

Back light working from same bulb, so guess bulb must be contacting properly.  At a loss!

I think that what Ken meant was to check the contacts in the bulb socket and whether they are straight and non-corroded etc. and whether there is 12v when the light is switched on. Good luck.
