KA RADIO REINSTALLATION

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. New and first time car buyer here.

I want apple carplay in my 2009 Ford KA but don’t know if it’ll be the right radio. Could someone please help me out. This is the link to the radio I was going to buy 😕

Hi,

I can't comment on the quality of that radio.  But it does appear to support Carplay.

It is the right size to fit the dashboard.  You will also need to get an additional fascia adapter to fill in the gap.  Something like this - LEISURE DIRECT CD RADIO SINGLE DIN STEREO FASCIA FACIA TRIM SURROUND KIT FOR FORD KA 2009 ONWARDS: Amazon.co.uk: Automotive

And will probably need a short piece of wiring loom to connect that radio to the cars wiring.  I'm not sure which one of those you will need without seeing the car plugs though.

Hard to believe the price of head units these days. I remember paying almost the same £80 odd for an upgrade on a Pioneer radio/cassette in my 1982 XR2! LOL
