I want to eliminate the security system on a KA

Featured Replies

I live on a farm in Mexico and have a 2005 KA I use for errands.  It didn't run when I got it.   It turns out there is no chip in the key.  Parts aren't easy to come by here.  Is it possible to  bypass the whole security  system.  I don't think anyone would want to steal this car.  I'd like to make this car as uncomplicated as possible.  Thanks for any help.  It has the 1.6 Ztec engine.

So, was the Ka delivered to you on the back of a trailer and has never run? Or, did you use it for errands, and now can't because you lost the original key and spare has no chip?

Search for engine ECU unlocking in your area.  Most remappers should offer it.  That removes the main immobiliser software.
