Hi!

I'm kjiratsiekoedel from the Netherlands. Just bought a ford galaxy 2010 2.0 ecoboost titanium last week.

My previous cars were:

Nissan micra 1.3 k11 (1998)

Kia Rio 1.5 (2003)

Volvo xc70 2.5t (2003)

 

I always like to learn more about my cars and sometimes do some small maintenance myself. In the Netherlands are only focus and monde clubs. So this seems a better place for knowledge about my galaxy if needed.

The galaxy is almost 15 years old, but only has 146000km on the clock. The previous owner had the engine already rebuild due to oil consumption. Turbo is also replaced because it got damaged by a broken spark plug piece. So only the dct450 powershift will likely go bad one day... I had it flushed though.

    Welcome, I hope I can say this to you secretly, our 2011 S-MAX has done about 200 000 km (including some towing across Europe from Croatia to the Algarve) but  has had regular engine and gearbox oil changes and still going strong (gearbox oil no sign of plastics bits!)

    So far it has broken the mould of "Powershift is rubbish" - we love it!
