Hi

I have a 2022 2ltr AWD auto. For first say ten minutes from first start up from cold, the gearbox seems to be very indecisive about changing up. Seems like once its warm its perfect. Anyone experienced similar ?

Yes I’ve recently traded in my EcoBlue AWD diesel auto for a newer model and found in temperatures under about 8 degrees, it would rev higher and not change up.  Generally this would only be for the first 2-3 minutes of a drive and once warmed up, would drive normally.  I can only assume this was electronic trickery to warm the engine or gearbox quicker.  Whilst I found it a bit annoying at first, I soon got used to it.  My new model has the CVT gearbox,so it’s completely different and doesn’t do this, though it’s petrol rather than diesel.

If it has a lot of miles (60,000+) consider changing the fluid.

Make sure your battery is in tip top condition as it will be even worse after cold start-up, which can also cause issues
