Instructions are in the Ford Kuga's owners handbook. Available online:

https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/CG3851en-202012-20201203120609.pdf

Read pages 336 and 337.

Most of us with this stupid bonnet opening handle have found that if you pull the handle sideways towards the centre of the car before then pulling it back, you can get just enough clearance for the handle to just miss the door panel without the need to take the handle completely off.

Assuming it's the same as the Focus, you can't.  You have to lay across the front seats from the drivers side and dismantle the bonnet latch, then twist it using a socket.

What size socket do you need for the Focus?

Someone PM me as I had same issue on my csr, but couldn't remember socket size I used.

So, are we saying that if the car is totally dead, you can't open the passenger door to open the bonnet?

Is the lock barrel on the driver's door then?

If it's the same as the Focus then yes if it is Deadlocked, the Lock Barrel is on the Drivers Door.

The inside Handle on the Passenger Door only will open the door when it is just Single Locked.

That's the most ridiculous thing ever.

Lock barrel is supposed to deactivate deadlocks and always be fitted to side with the bonnet release so you can open bonnet and connect power.

How on earth did they get that through regulations?
