I wondered if there were any updates regarding this well worn topic.
I have a question or two for those out there with far more knowledge than me.

1) Do I just try to sell the dam thing

2) the car seems to work dam well when using the sequential shifter.  Is it worth keeping based on that?  I don’t mind driving it this way and if the automatic transmission full blows will I be able to keep using the shifter?.

thanks lovely people.

I also have problems with the powershift. I tried everything, oil change, reset TCM, ...
It drives perfectly for weeks, and then suddenly notifications or no longer forward or backward, fork that seems to be stuck, loud noises. And then again driving perfect for weeks... I'm at my wit's end. Sell for next to nothing or is there an ultimate tip?

First OP if manual works, you MAY be able to use it but on borrowed time needing pre-emptive action?

AFAIK manual works on electrical signals compared to magnetic disc that is sensed in gearbox for PRND?

Both OPs...Fault codes (Forscan) when it happens and see what can be made of that and check all wiring and earth strap body to gearbox??

Actually, whilst I enjoy the intellectual challenge of trying to help, I am starting to find this type of post upsetting.

I state my understanding of issues and try to make positive suggestions (right or wrong) and am always looking for further information or correction from anyone who can add to my understanding  - in case I have the issues in future!

If no one comes back, so be it. but that's my rationale
However, on this (more than other forums but probably the norm), posters don't come back (OPW), posts with different problems are added in the same thread, some posts make a comment but don't actually suggest anything.

Overall, perhaps it's due to the multiple forums withing the site (all the different "clubs" which does in many ways make sense) there seems to be very little activity (i.e posts go a long time before answering or are not answered at all - perhaps no one knows the answer to problems that crop up over an over again?

I sometimes post just to keep it at the top of the thread in case someone spots an issue they can help with

Again, just my thoughts and wondering about giving up.
