One fog light on

Featured Replies

I've noticed that my 2017 Edge has developed an intermittent fault where it puts the nearside front fog-lamp on with the headlamps when the lightswitch set to auto.

Switch the lights on manually though and it goes out. Switch the foglamps on and they both come on as they should.

It doesn't seem right to me.

Anyone know what's going on here?

It’s not lighting up when turning your wheels ?
Judging by picture your wheels are pointing slightly to the left

As above, probably cornering lights.  Straighten the wheels and it'll go off.

Thanks Tom. I didn't even know the car had cornering lights!

Mind you they don't seem to turn off much. When I rotate the wheels in the other direction the nearside lamp stays on and only switches off once the offside lamp comes on. I would have thought there would be quite a lot of movement of the wheel when neither light is on.

The function can be disabled quite easily using FORScan.
