Kuga PHEV Noisy tick over

Hi again folks,
Hope you all had a nice Christmas and new year.
Its cold out so I went to start the kuga as its not been driven for a few days and I've lost trust in it with the on-going battery issue I had a few months ago.
Anyway, I have noticed that the engine has kicked in upon startup (probably due to be being -1). I know when the engine starts on these phev’s its noisy but it seemed to also have a slight random judder every now and again. Kind of like the sensation you get when you put it in neutral.
Any ideas? I didn't leave it on long enough to see if it went away, but not has this before during normal running.
