DPF

Featured Replies

At 60k miles my car signalled dpf full. Had it removed and cleaned professionally. Within 1000 miles warning returned. Dpf was removed and checked showing 39% re cleaned tested and showed 19% so dpf was clean. Within days warning light back saying exhaust full. Have replaced dpf sensor and still no good.   All 3 temperature probes reading normally showing average expected temperature ranges. Mechanic done usual regen but every time he hooks the car up it reads dpf at 200% regen changes figure to 220% mechanic is now baffled does anyone have any idea what is going on with my car

DPF is usually the VICTIM  of something else and just cleaning it without removing the root cause will, as you've found, not fix the fault.

Need to check all relevant parts are operating correctly and get some data (Forscan?) on them:

DPF pressures at idle and 3000 rev/min, leaks in pipework (smoke tester), temperatures, does it have a vaporiser plug, EGR, turbo etc, etc (this isn't a comprehensive list)

Check ORiley for ideas which don't normally include the brutal forced regen?)
