Sony Headunits

Featured Replies

Hi,

my car has the sony headunit without Bluetooth and DAB

I have seen a newer sony head unit with DAB and bluetooth on e bay

Are these units interchangabale or does it require a more involved set up?

Thanks

Frank

Having a newer sony headunit myself i can safely say that the install is very simple, just plug and play...but you may need a facia adaptor to get the hole down to a single din slot and an iso connector (may not if you already have a sony headunit in)

if you also have the radio stalk, you can purchase pc99-x50 and pc99-son and this will work with the sony headunit. (you wont need the iso adaptor with this method)

I havnt seen inside of a cortina so i dont know what equipment is there and what the slot is like already, but like i say it is very very very easy to swap them.

which sony headunit is it your looking at, just curious :P

hope this helps
