Another heater problem!

Featured Replies

Hi all
2013 B Max 1.6 TDCI, the heater will only blow cold air on the drivers side, passenger side is fine, plenty of hot air!
I have been told it's possibly a 'blend door actuator' that has failed.
Having looked on t'internet it appears that there are several of these things in various places so how can I determine which one is faulty, if indeed this is the problem and where it is located?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Does it have dual zone climate control or just one temp for both sides?

It only has a single temperature control.

In that case, it should only have one temperature blend door covering both sides.  I believe the actuator for that is on the drivers side.  With the actuator for the vent direction being on the passenger side.

On a single zone system with half not working I suspect there may be air inside the heater matrix which needs to be bled out.
