Permanently on indicator light

Featured Replies

Hi all,

2019 Kuga and just recently the passenger side mirror indicator stays on! When you lock or unlock the car all lights do what they should the indicators all flash except the passenger side mirror, it stays lit, no flashing and then goes off! All other indicator lights flash as they should and when hazards on, but not the passenger mirror indicator it stays solid lit!!
Any ideas please?

Potentially some broken wire insulation causing a permanent earth short for that light unit.  Could be very difficult to find unfortunately.

Hi, broken wire could cause this even that the light dose go off, but doesn’t flash,if you know what I mean?

I'd think it likely to be a fault with the BCM. Each of the indicator lights are on separate outputs from the BCM. If you use FORScan then there is a good chance it will have a DTC stored for the fault.

I agree with Unofix, more likely to be a BCM fault in that case.
