Hi guys,, I wonder if anyone knows are the rear trailing arm bushes on all years of Cmax IE, '07 plate thru to 18 plate the same as mine are gammy,, have new polyurethane bushes for the job but not a removal tool,, advice please!

Either borrow a proper tool if you can, otherwise you will need a couple of pieces of pipe or large sockets, some threaded bar and a couple of large nuts to fit the bar. Plenty vids on U-tube showing how to do it.Most fords are trhe same procedure.

 

Hi delboy,, looks like a reasonably straightforward job,, had a look on eBay n Amazon at the proper tool but don't list for an 18 plate as such, do ford use the same size bushes? I don't mind buying the right tool for the job if needed as I'm sure it will get used again

Im 99.9% sure that one tool does all Fords some Mazdas and Volvos. best check though.

I've never done them before but everything I'm finding is making me think that too as the bushes I've got are listed for a Mazda as well,, if not I have a garage full of stuff to make it work 😃😃😃
