Manual transmission oil change. MK2 2.0L diesel 2018

Car done 52,000 miles. Previous owner had it serviced at dealer.
I don't believe a manual transmission oil change is part of the standard service schedule so I assume it's never been done.
Is this something that is worth doing or is it best to leave alone unless there is a problem (which there isnt)?
If recommended to do it what oil is best to use and do I need a oil syringe with tube to fill it up? I would be doing this myself. Thanks.
